Reading Month celebration from 19th June to 18th July 2022.

 

The National Education Policy 2020 has emphasized reading as a key skill for foundational learning. The critical role played by Public/Schools/Digital libraries towards this end is also highlighted. The P. N. Panicker Foundation has been a key contributor in this area. Honouring the father of the Library Movement, the late P.N. Panicker, 19thJune is being celebrated as Reading Day and the following week as the Reading Week. Started as a Reading Day Celebration on 19th June 1996, it has become a mass movement to promote the culture of reading. On 19th June 2017, Hon’ble Prime Minister launched the 22ndNational Reading Month Celebrations and gave a clarion call to propagate the message of ‘Read and Grow’ among all the citizens of the country by 2022. The 27thNational Reading Day will be celebrated on 19th June 2022, the following week as Reading Week and Reading Month will be celebrated from 19th June to 18th July 2022.

राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति 2020 ने मूलभूत शिक्षा के लिए एक प्रमुख कौशल के रूप में पढ़ने पर जोर दिया है। इस दिशा में सार्वजनिक/विद्यालयों/डिजिटल पुस्तकालयों द्वारा निभाई गई महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका पर भी प्रकाश डाला गया है। इस क्षेत्र में पी.एन. पनिकर फाउंडेशन का महत्वपूर्ण योगदान रहा है। पुस्तकालय आंदोलन के जनक स्वर्गीय पी.एन. पणिक्कर, 19 जून को पठन दिवस के रूप में और अगले सप्ताह को पठन सप्ताह के रूप में मनाया जा रहा है। 19 जून 1996 को एक पठन दिवस समारोह के रूप में शुरू हुआ, यह पढ़ने की संस्कृति को बढ़ावा देने के लिए एक जन आंदोलन बन गया है। 19 जून 2017 को, माननीय प्रधान मंत्री ने 22वें राष्ट्रीय वाचन माह समारोह का शुभारंभ किया और 2022 तक देश के सभी नागरिकों के बीच 'पढ़ो और बढ़ो' के संदेश का प्रचार करने का आह्वान किया। 27वां राष्ट्रीय वाचन दिवस 19 तारीख को मनाया जाएगा। जून 2022, अगले सप्ताह रीडिंग वीक और रीडिंग मंथ के रूप में 19 जून से 18 जुलाई 2022 तक मनाया जाएगा।

Reading Day-Reading Week Celebration 2021

 Honouring the father of the Library Movement, the late P.N. Panicker, 19th June is being celebrated as Reading Day and the following week as the Reading Week. Started as a Reading Day Celebration on 19th June 1996, it has become a mass movement to promote the culture of reading. On 19th June 2017, Hon’ble Prime Minister launched the 22nd National Reading Month Celebrations and gave a clarion call to propagate the message of ‘Read and Grow’ among all the citizens of the country by 2022.The 26th National Reading will be celebrated on 19th June 2021, the following week as Reading Week and Reading Month will be celebrated from 19th June to 18th July 2021.

Keeping in view of the above our vidyalaya will going to organize the following activities. They are:

 1. Reading Day Pledge 
 2. Drawing Competition
 3. Online Quiz
 4. Book Review Competition
 5. Story Writing (Hindi/English) Competition
 6. Essay Writing(Hindi/English) Competition

Click on the Headings above from Serial No. 2 to 6 to take part in competition.

So students must have to participate in the above activities. Teachers, others staff members may also participate.
