Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji
unveiled a graphic book 'A Day at the Museum', a Directory of Museums in lndia,
and a Pocket Map of the Kartavya Path. This graphic novel explains the
importance of museums and invites us to locate artefacts displayed in museums
contextually, tracing the socio-cultural life of the people from the past. It
also highlights the career options prevalent in the museum ecosystem such as
Curators, Conservators, Archaeologists and Outreach & Education Officers
among others.

The NEP-2020 has emphasized reading as a key skill for Foundational Learning. The P . N. Panicker Foundation has been a key contributor in this area. honoring the father of Library movement 19th June is celebrated as Reading Day and following Week as Reading Week.
The 28th national Reading Day is celebrated on 19th June 2023, the following Week as Reading Week and Reading Month will be celebrated from 196 June 2023 to 18 July 2023.
Under This Reading Campaign the following activities will be done:
For 28th P N Panicker National Reading Day/ Reading Month
Celebration 2023, the institutes can choose any one or a combination of
activities or any other innovative reading/ learning oriented activities to
perform during this year’s reading month celebrations.

Reading Month celebration from 19th June to 18th July 2022.
The National Education Policy 2020 has emphasized reading as
a key skill for foundational learning. The critical role played by
Public/Schools/Digital libraries towards this end is also highlighted. The P.
N. Panicker Foundation has been a key contributor in this area. Honouring the
father of the Library Movement, the late P.N. Panicker, 19thJune is being celebrated
as Reading Day and the following week as the Reading Week. Started as a Reading
Day Celebration on 19th June 1996, it has become a mass movement to promote the
culture of reading. On 19th June 2017, Hon’ble Prime Minister launched the
22ndNational Reading Month Celebrations and gave a clarion call to propagate
the message of ‘Read and Grow’ among all the citizens of the country by 2022.
The 27thNational Reading Day will be celebrated on 19th June 2022, the
following week as Reading Week and Reading Month will be celebrated from 19th
June to 18th July 2022.
राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति 2020 ने मूलभूत शिक्षा के लिए एक प्रमुख कौशल के रूप में पढ़ने
पर जोर दिया है। इस दिशा में सार्वजनिक/विद्यालयों/डिजिटल पुस्तकालयों द्वारा
निभाई गई महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका पर भी प्रकाश डाला गया है। इस क्षेत्र में पी.एन.
पनिकर फाउंडेशन का महत्वपूर्ण योगदान रहा है। पुस्तकालय आंदोलन के जनक स्वर्गीय
पी.एन. पणिक्कर, 19 जून को पठन दिवस के रूप
में और अगले सप्ताह को पठन सप्ताह के रूप में मनाया जा रहा है। 19 जून 1996 को एक पठन दिवस समारोह
के रूप में शुरू हुआ, यह पढ़ने की संस्कृति को
बढ़ावा देने के लिए एक जन आंदोलन बन गया है। 19 जून 2017 को,
माननीय प्रधान मंत्री ने 22वें राष्ट्रीय वाचन माह
समारोह का शुभारंभ किया और 2022 तक देश के सभी नागरिकों के बीच 'पढ़ो और बढ़ो' के संदेश का प्रचार करने
का आह्वान किया। 27वां राष्ट्रीय वाचन दिवस 19 तारीख को मनाया जाएगा।
जून 2022, अगले सप्ताह रीडिंग वीक
और रीडिंग मंथ के रूप में 19 जून से 18 जुलाई 2022 तक मनाया जाएगा।
